Managing Director:
Lee Miller
Lee joined the company as Prepared Factory Manager
in 1990, from S & A foods in Derby where he held the position
of Procurement Manager. Lee's extensive knowledge and experience
of the procurement and preparation of fresh vegetables was a
significant factor in enabling the company to expand into the
developing market for chilled prepared meals. He was instrumental
in securing the first major blue-chip company contracts for
the prepared division. Lee was promoted to managing director
in 2000 and was offered the chance of purchasing the Company
in 2003. |

Chairman & Commercial
Director: Nick Sutherland
Nick commenced his career in the food manufacturing industry
in 1969 at ET Sutherland, initially in Operations, He led the
company's rapid expansion into the own label sector, for canned
foods, and subsequently into Chilled foods. As Managing director
he instigated the floatation of the Company onto the Stock exchange
in 1984 to enable further rapid expansion. Leading the development
of the Management team this expansion continued organically
into the Bakery sector with Quiche and the Pasta sector both
frozen and chilled. Expansion into the Chilled sector was also
achieved through acquisition in cooked meats and Chilled sandwiches,
the latter becoming market leader in subsequent years. The group
was ultimately acquired in 1991 to enable further large investment
in these expanding areas. Nick worked within the group until
2000, initially on special projects and subsequently as a Director
of the Food services division delivering chilled sandwiches
nationally. Negotiations for
the Management purchase of Barrowcliffes commenced early 2003
and were completed in Jan 2004. As Chairman and Commercial director,
Nick is working with his co-directors to develop a solid long
term growth strategy for the company. |

Operations Director:
Tony Archer
Tony joined the Company as Operations Manager in 2000. Tony
is a highly experienced manager in the food manufacturing industry.
He has served the industry for over 20 years, mainly
within the Northern Foods Group. Whilst at Northern Foods he
went from shop floor to senior management level and worked within
all divisions of the group. In 2002 Tony was promoted to a Director of the Company
and in 2003 joined Lee as part of the management buy-out team. He is passionate about the Barrowcliffes business and is keen to move the business forward both technically and commercially.
Tony has complete control over the
operational side of the company and has strengthened the management
structure to ensure a better distribution of responsibilities
within the team and increase focus on customer satisfaction.

Financial Director:
Roy Irish
Roy Irish is an experienced Finance Director, having qualified
as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in 1979, In
1981 he moved to a multi-national company in the computer industry
and worked in both distribution and manufacturing for the next
8 years. He moved to the Midlands in 1990 as finance director
of an FMCG company and in 1997 formed part of the buy-out team
that took over the company. Since leaving in 2001 he has become
involved with a number of smaller companies and is a Key member of the team that aquired Barrowcliffes in January 2004. |
